School Announcements
Procedures for Parents/Guest Entering the Building
For the safety of our students all guest to the Raye-Allen campus must check in at the front office.  Guest must present their current driver's license/ID to be scanned.  When it is scanned, a pass with your picture will be given to you.  Then you may go to the specific place you need.  All passes must be returned to the office upon leaving.  We appreciate your cooperation with these new guidelines.  The intent is to keep our building secure and our children safe.
Morning School Entry
Parents, if you are coming in the building with your child in the mornings, you must come through the front entrance.  Parents may not come in through the cafeteria entrance.  The school policy states all guest on campus will check in with the office and present a valid ID.
Student Tardies
School starts at 7:45.  All children need to be in class at that time.  This is when the learning begins each day.  If your child does not get to class by 7:45, they must get a tardy slip.  Please help your child get to school on time.  If children want to eat breakfast they need to be here by 7:30. Then they can eat and make it to class on time.
Changes in Transportation Home
It is the goal of Raye-Allen to see that all of our children get home in a safe and timely manner.  For this to happen we must always know how your child is getting home.  If they are bus riders, we make sure they get on the bus.  Day care students are taken to the day care vans.  Car riders and walkers are dismissed together, and we need to be secure in knowing who picks up our children by car.  It is imperative that we are notified immediately if there is a change in transportantion home.  If your child is going home in a different manner, you must send a note to the teacher that day or they will not be allowed to change their transportation home.  We need more than a child telling us something different.  We appreciate you letting your child's teacher know.
Buses
Raye-Allen is currently the largest elementary school in Temple.  With the increased number of students we also have some logistical problems.  One of these problems is getting our school buses in and out of the Raye-Allen campus with only one entrance.  The school is looking at the possibility of changing the areas used for bus pickup and for car riders in the afternoon.  We will keep you posted about the possibility of change.
Constitution Celebration Week
Raye-Allen students will learn about the Constitution the week of Sept. 20th - 24th.  We will have an assembly on Friday, Sept. 24th at 2:00.  The Freedom Friday Assembly will be presented by our students.
